The trailer for the docuseries Angry Young Men is finally out. From passion to superstardom to falling apart but excelling in their own lives, Salim-Javed's journey has been no less than a Bollywood film in itself and many celebrities are here to tell the tale. Salim Khan's son Salman Khan, a superstar actor and producer, Farhan Akhtar, a renown filmmaker-turned-actor, and the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, who gained most popularity with films penned by Salim-Javed, all came together to talk about the docuseries. Of course, it was not limited to that. Many who are lauded in the industry became a part of the docuseries to talk about their own experience with what Salim-Javed the name has meant to them and the whole world throughout the 70s and 80s. Here's a glimpse into the world...

Salman Khan

Being a superstar, Salman talks about doing many interviews but being nervous when it comes to talking about his legendary father, Salim Khan. The actor has constantly believed that work is enough to kill the haters, and he feels Salim-Javed managed to do that.

Farhan Akhtar

Javed's son Farhan Akhtar, a successful filmmaker, spoke about his father and how writing those films is typically who Javed Akhtar is.

Salim-Javed's side

Salim himself joked that he wants a call from Hollywood claiming they are short of stars. Javed Akhtar, on the other hand, shared a fun moment with the crew, for he didn't realize a lot was happening when the cameras were already rolling.

Showing their passion back in the day, Salim expressed that they wanted to break the notion that people had set towards writers. Javed Akhtar came with the same school of thought - to get fame despite being a writer. "Humne kaha bhai hamaare saath toh yahi hoga," he expressed.

Salim further explained that they never really sat down and decided to be partners. Javed, on the other hand, called Salim his elder brother. It is to be noted that Salim-Javed did 24 films together and 22 out of them were blockbusters.

Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan

Aamir Khan is also a part of the docuseries and was heard challenging the crew to find a writer who sells. Shatrughan Sinha, in his minimal yet powerful style said, "Ghazab!" Hrithik Roshan speaks minds when he says that anybody who has grown up watching Salim-Javed carries a little bit of them in their blood.

Javed Akhtar's wife Shabana Azmi once misunderstood him

Shabana Azmi, who is now married to Javed Akhtar, recalled how she was among those who assumed that Salim-Javed had an air around them. Jaya Bachchan also called them 'brats' after achieving success.

Karan Johar stating facts

A writer today will almost most definitely not get away if he/she/they say that they want Rs. 1 crore more than Salman Khan. With the same example, Karan Johar explained the benchmark that Salim-Javed set and why they could make such a demand when together.

Kannada star Yash also made a special appearance and spoke about the dialogues that have stayed back with people. He called it a philosophy, which made the dialogues so appealing to the mass.

Amitabh Bachchan

From Deewar to Sholay, Salim-Javed has been a constant in helping Amitabh Bachchan deliver blockbusters of his time. All the movies became so iconic that the tag 'Angry Young Man' stayed with Big B. And now, we get to see the mind behind those movies through the docuseries. The veteran actor said that Salim-Javed being together was an altogether different story.

Directed by Namrata Rao, Angry Young Men will release in three parts. The first will be out on Prime Video from August 20.
