In the floods of 2018, Sajana disclosed that her residence was completely destroyed, resulting in the loss of most of her possessions, including trophies and cricket gear. It was during this challenging time that Sivakarthikeyan, her co-star in the sports drama Kanaa, where she portrayed herself, reached out to offer his assistance.
She recounted, “Sivakarthikeyan sir contacted me to inquire if I required any help. I informed him, Anna (brother), that my cricket kit was entirely lost, and I only needed new spikes. Within a week, I received the new spikes. At that time, I was also preparing for the Challenger Trophy, and everyone there would ask about my family's well-being, which made me anxious. However, the support from everyone was overwhelming, as they were all concerned and eager to assist.”
Kanaa featured prominent actors such as Sathyaraj, Aishwarya Rajesh, Sivakarthikeyan, and Darshan in leading roles. The film was later remade in Telugu under the title Kousalya Krishnamurthy, with Aishwarya and Sivakarthikeyan reprising their original roles.
