New information regarding the attempted burglary at the Mumbai residence of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor has come to light. As reported by TOI, the incident occurred in the room of their son, Jeh, during which the actor confronted the intruder directly to safeguard his family.

New details emerge

A recent report indicated that a nurse working for Saif Ali Khan and his spouse provided a distressing account to the Bandra Police regarding an incident in which an intruder forcibly entered their residence, demanded ₹1 crore, and subsequently assaulted both her and Saif.

As per the First Information Report (FIR) obtained by TOI, the incident occurred around 2 am while the family and staff were asleep. Eliyama Philip, a 56-year-old nurse employed at the household, recounted the details of the eve

She described the assailant as a man in his late 30s, possessing a slim physique and dark skin. According to her, he "entered the bedroom where Saif Ali Khan’s son, Jeh, was sleeping." The nurse reported that the attacker was armed with a stick and a sharp blade, demanding ₹1 crore from her. When she declined to comply, he assaulted her, resulting in injuries to her wrists and hands.

The disturbance awakened another nanny, Junu, who raised the alarm, prompting Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor to rush to the scene.

To safeguard his family, Saif confronted the intruder, sustaining injuries in the process. Another staff member, Geeta, was also hurt while attempting to intervene. The assailant fled the scene before additional staff members could arrive.

However, Joint Commissioner Satya Narayan Chaudhary refuted the assertion that the intruder demanded ₹1 crore, characterizing the incident as a theft case. Dixit Gedam, DCP Zone 9 of Mumbai Police, who is involved in the investigation of the attack on Actor Saif Ali Khan, confirmed that one of the suspects has been identified.

The investigation has revealed that the suspect accessed the residence via the fire escape. Current findings indicate that this may have been an attempted burglary. We are diligently working to apprehend the suspect at the earliest opportunity. Upon his arrest, additional information will be made available. One individual has been identified as a suspect; he entered through the staircase, and operational teams are actively pursuing his capture. There are ten detection teams deployed in various locations, as reported to the press by ANI.

Saif in hospital

Saif was transported to Lilavati Hospital in an auto rickshaw following the incident. Dr. Niraj Uttamani, the hospital's chief operating officer, later informed the media that the actor had sustained six injuries, which included two severe wounds. A surgical procedure was conducted to extract the knife that had become lodged near his spine.

"The actor suffered six injuries: two minor, two moderate, and two severe. One of the significant injuries is located on his back, near the spine. Saif experienced a critical injury to his thoracic spine as a result of the knife. The surgery was necessary to remove the knife and to address the leakage of spinal fluid," the medical team stated.

The plastic surgery team attended to two deep wounds located on his left hand and the right side of his neck. Fortunately, he was reported to be stable and no longer in danger.
