Mainstream media has been focused on Saif Ali Khan following an incident in which a burglar invaded his Mumbai residence and attacked the actor while he attempted to safeguard his family. Although he was discharged from the hospital last evening and has returned home, it appears that the controversy surrounding him continues, as a new report suggests that his family may face the potential loss of properties valued at ₹15,000 crore to the Government of India. Indeed, this is a serious claim. Reports indicate that the government could seize a significant portion of the Khan family's wealth under legislation that permits such actions.

Saif Ali Khan’s Family to Lose ₹15,000 Crore Worth Property?

According to NDTV, the government has the authority to confiscate properties under the Enemy Property Act of 1968. A ruling by the Madhya Pradesh High Court in 2015 lifted the stay on these properties. This act allows the government to take control of assets belonging to individuals who migrated to Pakistan during the partition. The Nawab of Bhopal, Hamidullah Khan, had three daughters; one migrated to Pakistan while another remained in India.

Saif is the grandson of the daughter who chose to stay. However, the government views the migration of the other daughter as justification for claiming the properties. Among the assets that Saif may potentially lose are the Flag Staff House, Noor-Us-Sabah Palace, Dar-Us-Salam, Habibi Bungalow, Ahmedabad Palace, and Kohefiza Property, among others.

A burglar, intending to commit theft, broke into the Mumbai home of Saif and Kareena Kapoor Khan. When Saif confronted the intruder in an effort to protect his family, he was stabbed six times, resulting in serious injuries. Two of the wounds were particularly severe, necessitating his immediate transport to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. After a period of recovery, he was discharged last evening and has since returned home.

Kareena Kapoor has released a statement appealing for privacy:

"It has been an exceptionally difficult day for our family, and we are still in the process of coming to terms with the recent events. As we work through this challenging period, I respectfully and sincerely ask the media and paparazzi to avoid incessant speculation and coverage.

While we are grateful for the concern and support, the ongoing scrutiny presents a considerable risk to our safety. I kindly urge you to honor our boundaries and allow us the necessary space to heal as a family. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this delicate time."
