According to recent reports, the actor is set to resume shooting after the promotions for Jewel Thief.

According Saif Ali Khan is set to commence filming for Rahul Dholakia's period drama, as reported by Mid-Day. The untitled project began production on April 20 at the Grand Hotel in Ballard Estate, with Khan anticipated to join the cast this week. This marks his first filming engagement following the recent home invasion incident.

As According to the report, the actor is set to portray Sukumar Sen, the first Chief Election Commissioner of India, alongside Pratik Gandhi and Deepak Dobriyal. 

The article further noted that the filming involved over 200 extras who contributed to the crowd scenes, creating an intense atmosphere with Pratik and Deepak. "The production team plans to shoot at various locations throughout the city in the upcoming weeks. Saif and the director aim to complete a significant portion of the drama by the end of May. Having finished promoting Jewel Thief, the actor will soon focus on this new project," the source stated. It also highlighted that this period is crucial for storytelling, with the production design team tasked with constructing large sets that reflect India in the 1950s.
