7 days ago | 5 Views
Saif Ali Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat's film Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins has recently been launched on Netflix. Produced by director Siddharth Anand, this thrilling heist drama features Kunal Kapoor and Nikita Dutta in significant roles. Following the film's release, the actor recently participated in an interview with IMDb and discussed his experience regarding the filming of the movie and the behind-the-scenes antics.
Like always, I couldn't stand myself,
In a discussion with IMDb, which also featured Jaideep and Siddharth, Saif expressed how he felt about himself on the initial day of the film's shooting. "I recall my first day; it was very late at night. We began at 1 am. I would wrap up around 5 am when the light came up. That was the first time I encountered Jaideep. As usual, I disliked myself because it was the first day. To be truthful, sometimes I’m unsure of what I’m doing. It takes some time to acclimate; I was a bit anxious. A little fatigued. A little disoriented. ”
The 54-year-old performer also recounted an amusing story about filming with a rottweiler dog, which surprised him a bit. “I was filming with Jaideep sir’s dog in the movie, and it’s a huge rottweiler. I had no idea they were that large. The owner mentioned you could do whatever you wanted with it. I was giving it biscuits and engaging with it. At one moment, I tugged on it slightly. It growled at me in the most fearsome manner, and then he said that you can do what you please, but don’t tug it,” Saif remarked.
All about Jewel Thief
Jewel Thief, which premiered on Netflix on April 25, has failed to captivate the viewers. As per a review by HT, “Saif is underutilized in his role that appears as ‘did the film for the big bucks’ rather than ‘I am the coolest thief’. Jaideep puts in considerable effort to portray his character as menacing, and he somewhat achieves that. All in all, Jewel Thief is an easily forgettable heist drama. In the end, the creators threaten us with ‘The Heist continues’ - a possible sequel. We as an audience require a masterclass on confidence from the creators of this film. ”
