Actor Saif Ali Khan made his initial public appearance following the burglary at his residence during a Netflix event held in Mumbai. Among the films unveiled by the streaming platform for this year is Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins, featuring Saif and Jaideep Ahlawat in prominent roles.

Saif participated in the event with a cast on his arm and expressed his gratitude for being present following the stabbing incident. He remarked, "It is truly wonderful to be here in front of you all... it brings me great joy to be in this moment. I am very enthusiastic about this film. Siddharth and I have been discussing this project for quite some time. I have always aspired to be part of a heist film, and I could not have wished for a better co-star" (while placing his hand on Jaideep’s shoulder). "Overall, it is a delightful film, and I am very eager about it."

On January 16, Saif was the victim of a stabbing incident that occurred during a robbery at his residence in Bandra. He was promptly taken to the hospital earlier that day, where he underwent emergency surgery to extract a knife that had become embedded near his spine. After a recovery period of five days, the actor was released from the hospital, while the individual suspected of the crime is currently in police custody. In response to the incident, security measures at his home have been significantly enhanced.
