Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was released from Lilavati Hospital today, just days after suffering multiple stab wounds from an intruder at his residence in Bandra. In the face of this traumatic experience, Saif exhibited remarkable fortitude and resilience by walking back into his building without the aid of a wheelchair, all while under heavy police protection.

The actor, who resides with his wife Kareena Kapoor and their two children, was greeted by a supportive crowd of media personnel outside his home, eager to document his return. Known for his composed demeanour, Saif's unaided entrance into his building served as a positive indication of his recovery following the distressing incident.

The attack occurred when an intruder unlawfully entered Saif’s home, resulting in multiple stab wounds. He was swiftly transported to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent an extensive five-hour surgical procedure to remove a fragment of the knife from his body. Post-surgery, he was placed in the ICU for close observation.

On Sunday, the alleged assailant, identified as Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir—who had adopted the name Vijay Das—was apprehended. The 30-year-old suspect has been remanded in police custody for five days as authorities continue to investigate the motives behind the attack.
