Following the incident in which Saif Ali Khan was stabbed at his residence in Mumbai, both the actor and his wife, Kareena Kapoor, have established specific guidelines for the paparazzi. According to a report by the Times of India, a meeting was convened by Kareena Kapoor's team with the Mumbai paparazzi on Tuesday. This development occurs in the context of increased security protocols for the Khan family.

Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor's new rules for paparazzi

The report indicates that Saif and Kareena have requested the paparazzi to refrain from photographing their children, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir (Jeh) Ali Khan. They have also urged the paparazzi to avoid congregating outside their home, citing increased security concerns.

According to India Today, the couple has stated that photographs of Kareena and Saif may be taken if they are present at a public event.

What happened to Saif

Saif was assaulted in the early hours of January 16 at his luxurious residence in Bandra, Mumbai. Following the incident, he was promptly taken to a hospital where he underwent both spinal and plastic surgeries. He was released from the hospital on January 21. The assailant was later identified as Mohd Shariful Islam Shehzad, who had entered Saif's home with the intention of theft.

During a violent altercation with the perpetrator, Saif suffered stab wounds to his thoracic spine and other areas of his body. He was immediately transported to Lilavati Hospital for urgent medical care after the attack. Saif was discharged from Lilavati Hospital after undergoing surgery the previous week. Upon his return to his Bandra home, he acknowledged the media present and expressed his gratitude.

What the Khan family earlier said

Hours following the incident, Kareena released a statement appealing to fans and the media to honour the family's need for privacy during this challenging period. "Today has been exceptionally difficult for our family, and we are still in the process of coming to terms with the events that have transpired. As we work through this trying time, I respectfully ask that the media and paparazzi cease their incessant speculation and coverage," Kareena expressed.

She further highlighted the burdensome nature of the ongoing scrutiny. "While we are grateful for the concern and support, the unrelenting attention is not only overwhelming but also presents a considerable risk to our safety. I kindly urge you to respect our boundaries and allow us the space necessary to heal and cope as a family. I appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this sensitive time," the statement concluded.
