Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan sustained injuries following an intrusion at his residence in Bandra (West) by an assailant who reportedly stabbed him. The incident took place at approximately 2:30 am on Thursday while the actor was asleep with his family members.

According to police reports, the intruder escaped the scene after the household occupants were alerted. Authorities are actively pursuing the suspect, and the Bandra police are in the process of filing a First Information Report (FIR). Multiple police teams have been established to apprehend the perpetrator.

Police comment

A senior IPS officer has verified the occurrence, stating that Saif Ali Khan has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital for treatment. The specifics regarding whether he was stabbed or injured during the altercation with the robber remain unclear. An investigation is currently underway, and the Mumbai crime branch is also pursuing a concurrent inquiry into the matter.

Details of his injuries

Dr. Niraj Uttamani, Chief Operating Officer of Lilavati Hospital, reported, “Saif was assaulted by an unknown individual at his residence. He arrived at Lilavati at 3:30 am. He has sustained six injuries, two of which are more severe. One injury is located near his spine. We are currently performing surgery on him. The surgical team includes Neurosurgeon Nitin Dange, Cosmetic Surgeon Leena Jain, and Anaesthetist Nisha Gandhi. We will provide information regarding the extent of the injuries once the surgery is completed."

Dr. Uttamani further mentioned that there is an additional injury on Saif's neck, which is also under assessment. He indicated that the surgical procedure commenced at 5:30 am and is still ongoing.

Saif's family is present at the hospital during this time.

Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif, who have been married since 2012, reside in the Satguru Sharan building located in Bandra West, Mumbai. The couple has two sons, Taimur, aged 8, and Jeh, aged 4, who also live with them.
