Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is presently undergoing medical treatment at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai following a distressing incident at his residence. The actor suffered injuries during a confrontation with an intruder who attempted to break into his home. A statement from Saif Ali Khan’s public relations team confirmed the occurrence, labelling it an "attempted burglary" and assuring fans that the actor is receiving surgical care for his injuries.

The official communication from the PR team stated, "An attempted burglary took place at Mr Saif Ali Khan's home. He is currently hospitalized and undergoing surgery. We kindly ask the media and fans for their patience. This is a matter for the police." The statement also called for respect for the privacy of the actor and his family during this challenging period.

According to the Mumbai Police, the incident transpired late Wednesday night when the intruder reportedly confronted Saif's maid. To intervene and calm the situation, the actor became involved in a struggle with the intruder, which resulted in his injuries. Authorities are actively investigating the incident and are searching for the unidentified assailant.

On the professional side, Saif Ali Khan was last featured in the much-anticipated action film Devara Part 1, which premiered in September 2024. The film, in which Saif starred alongside Jr. NTR and Janhvi Kapoor, was released in several languages, including Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. Fans are also eagerly awaiting his next project, Jewel Thief - The Red Sun Chapter, a heist thriller directed by Robbie Grewal. This film is expected to showcase a fierce rivalry between the characters played by Saif Ali Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat, making it one of the most anticipated releases shortly.
