Saif Ali Khan's representatives have released an official statement regarding the actor's health and the events that transpired at his residence with Kareena Kapoor in the early hours of Thursday, following an alleged break-in. Currently, Saif is receiving emergency surgery at Lilavati Hospital in Bandra.

An official statement issued by Saif Ali Khan's publicist indicates: "An attempted burglary occurred at Mr Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is presently hospitalized for surgery. We kindly ask the media and fans for their understanding during this time. This is a matter for the police, and we will provide updates as the situation develops."

According to police sources, Saif Ali Khan sustained injuries during a break-in attempt at his home with Kareena at approximately 2:30 AM. The couple, married in 2012, resides in the Satguru Sharan building located in Bandra West, Mumbai. Their two sons, Taimur (8) and Jeh (4), also live with them. The police are actively investigating the incident, and no arrests have been made thus far.

The extent of Saif Ali Khan's injuries

Saif was swiftly transported to the nearby Lilavati Hospital for the treatment of his injuries. Dr. Niraj Uttamani, the Chief Operating Officer of Lilavati Hospital, stated, “Saif has sustained six injuries, two of which are more severe. One injury is located near his spine. We are currently performing surgery on him. The surgical team includes Neurosurgeon Nitin Dange, Cosmetic Surgeon Leena Jain, and Anaesthetist Nisha Gandhi. We will provide information regarding the extent of the damage only after the completion of the surgery."

Dr. Uttamani further noted that there is an injury on the neck, which is also under assessment. He mentioned that the surgery commenced at 5:30 AM and was still in progress by 8:30 AM.
