Ibrahim Ali Khan, the son of Saif Ali Khan, along with a household staff member, promptly transported the actor to the hospital following injuries sustained during a burglary attempt at his residence. According to sources, Saif was admitted to Lilavati Hospital at approximately 3:30 AM on Thursday by Ibrahim and a member of his domestic staff.

How Ibrahim brought Saif to the hospital

Saif Ali Khan sustained injuries during an attempted break-in at his residence with Kareena Kapoor at approximately 2:30 AM, as confirmed by police sources to HT. The couple resides in the Satguru Sharan building located in Bandra West, Mumbai, along with their two sons, Taimur, aged 8, and Jeh, aged 4. Ibrahim, Saif's son from his previous marriage to Amrita Singh, does not reside with them. Upon learning of the incident, the 23-year-old quickly went to Saif and Kareena's home and subsequently transported his father to the hospital, as stated by Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital.

What happened at Saif's house

On Thursday morning, a formal statement was released by Saif Ali Khan's team regarding his injury and the events that transpired at his residence in the early hours. The statement indicated, "An attempted burglary occurred at Mr Saif Ali Khan’s home. He is presently hospitalized and undergoing surgery. We kindly ask the media and fans for their patience as this is a matter for the police. We will provide updates as the situation develops."

Saif is currently receiving treatment at Lilavati Hospital, where he is undergoing surgery for his injuries. Dr. Niraj Uttamani, the Chief Operating Officer of Lilavati Hospital, reported, “Saif has sustained six injuries, two of which are more severe. One injury is located near his spine." The doctor also mentioned that there is an injury on his neck, which is under evaluation.

"We are in the process of operating on him. The surgical team includes Neurosurgeon Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Leena Jain, and anaesthetist Nisha Gandhi. We will assess the extent of the injuries once the surgery is completed." The procedure commenced at 5:30 AM.

A doctor at Lilavati Hospital, who requested to remain anonymous, informed HT that a piece of a knife was discovered within the body, and the medical team is still assessing the full extent of the injuries. However, the actor is able to move his limbs, indicating that his spine is intact.
