The incident took place late Wednesday night, during which Saif reportedly intervened in a confrontation between an intruder and his maid, resulting in injuries during the altercation. He is currently undergoing treatment and surgery, as confirmed by an official statement from his public relations team.

His wife, actress Kareena Kapoor, was seen arriving at the hospital earlier, clearly anxious about her husband's well-being. Saif’s children, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan, also visited Lilavati Hospital to be with him during this challenging period.
