Actor Saif Ali Khan has responded to and dispelled various conspiracy theories surrounding the attack on him. Saif Ali Khan addresses conspiracy theories
Saif addressed the public's inquiries regarding his choice to take an auto rickshaw to Lilavati Hospital on the night of his incident, as well as the absence of his driver. He stated, "No one remains here throughout the night. Everyone has their own home to return to. While we have some individuals residing in the house, the drivers are not among them. They are only asked to stay if there is a need for them during the night. I would have driven myself if I had been able to locate the keys. Fortunately, I did not find them. In hindsight, I probably should not have moved my back too much. I was fully aware of my surroundings," he explained, noting that the driver would have taken time to arrive, which led him to choose the auto rickshaw.
The actor also responded to the astonishment surrounding his rapid recovery. After undergoing two surgeries, Saif was discharged from the hospital after five days and attended an event two weeks later to promote his upcoming film. He remarked, "It is natural to expect a variety of reactions to an event like this. Some may ridicule it, others may doubt it, and some may even mock it. I believe that is acceptable, as it adds vibrancy to life. If everyone responded with sympathy, the world would be monotonous. I anticipated such reactions, so there is no need for me to respond to them."
Saif further clarified the perceived delay of 1.5 hours in reaching the hospital, asserting that he 'went downstairs and out' immediately following the attack. Regarding the absence of weapons in his residence, he stated that all firearms in his Bandra home are purely decorative, and he prefers not to keep guns in the house.
