Actor Saif Ali Khan recently shared that he has purchased a stunning property at The St Regis Marsa Arabia Island, located in The Pearl, Doha, Qatar. During a press event organized by Alfardan Group, he discussed what attracted him to this island retreat. He highlighted Qatar's safety, charm, and its closeness to India, describing it as an ideal spot for his family. Saif expressed that his experience there felt "safe" and like “a home away from home.”

Saif shared his thoughts on how amazing it is to live in the property. “When I think about a holiday home or a second residence, a couple of things come to mind. First, it’s conveniently located and easy to get to. But the most crucial aspect is that it feels incredibly safe and just right to be there. The idea of an island within an island adds a touch of luxury and beauty, making it a wonderful place to call home. The overall vibe, the stunning views, the delicious food, and the lifestyle and pace of life all played a big role in my decision,” he explained.

What prompted Saif to purchase property in Doha?

The actor referred to the place as his "home away from home." He shared, "I went there for some work and was filming something, and I stayed at the property. I found it incredible, especially the blend of privacy and luxury that really appealed to me. Plus, the food and the thoughtfully curated menu were standout features. In short, it truly felt like a second home, which made everything so much easier. The best part is that it’s peaceful and secluded, perfect if that’s what you’re after." He also mentioned that he can't wait to bring his family, especially his kids, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan, to enjoy the new place.

Saif owns multiple properties around the world

In addition to that, Saif owns a number of other properties. Right now, he lives in a Bandra apartment with his family, which includes his wife, actress Kareena Kapoor, and their sons, Taimur and Jeh. He also has the ancestral Pataudi Palace and owns places in London and Gstaad.

Saif's stabbing event

Saif purchased this property only a few months following a knife attack against him. On January 16, a man named Shehzad allegedly tried to rob Saif by breaking into his home in Bandra. During this attack, Saif was stabbed and sustained serious injuries, including damage to his thoracic spine and other areas of his body. He was quickly taken to Lilavati Hospital, where he received treatment for five days before being released on January 21.

Fans can look forward to seeing Saif in the highly awaited Netflix film, Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins. The cast also includes Jaideep Ahlawat, Kunal Kapoor, and Nikita Dutta in key roles. Directed by Kookie Gulati and Robbie Grewal, the movie tells the tale of a suave thief (Saif) and his accomplice (Jaideep) as they scheme to steal the incredibly rare African Red Sun diamond, all while being pursued by a relentless detective (Kunal). Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins will be available for streaming on Netflix starting April 25.
