Bollywood actor Saba Azad often faces online trolling simply for being Hrithik Roshan's girlfriend. In a recent interview with SCREEN, Saba opened up about struggling with consistency online and revealed whether the constant trolling on social media affects her.

Saba on social media trolling

Saba acknowledged her struggles with social media, stating, "I tend to post consistently for three days, only to vanish for a month afterward. For performing artists, social media has evolved into a type of portfolio. It represents a relationship that is both essential and burdensome. It serves as a source of income through collaborations with brands and advertisements. However, as public dissatisfaction increases, so does the prevalence of negative behavior online. A genuinely content individual would not create fake accounts to harass others. Why should I be concerned about someone who is anonymous, distant, and evidently discontent with their own life?"

She also mentioned that she has cultivated resilience in response to ongoing trolling, remarking, "Rather than responding with anger, I choose to view it from a different perspective: ‘It is unfortunate that you feel the need to act this way.’ Initially, I wondered why someone would care about my life if I am simply going about my own business. However, as I reflected on it, I came to understand that it is truly sad, and it is not worth my energy to dwell on it. I have since developed a strong sense of resilience. While I may have ignored negativity for a long time, there are moments when I still feel compelled to respond. You cannot continually attack me and expect me to remain silent. I no longer concern myself with the opinions of such individuals."

When Saba hit back at a troll

Hrithik Roshan and Saba Azad commenced their romantic relationship in 2022, officially announcing it on Instagram in October of the same year when Hrithik posted a photograph featuring Saba. Since that time, she has encountered criticism for her association with him. Recently, following the release of the teaser for the second season of her show Who's Your Gynac?, Saba utilized her Instagram Stories to address a comment from a troll who suggested that she need not work because she is the girlfriend of the 'Greek God.'

In response to this remark, she stated, "Ok Sumit ji, uncle ji!! Perhaps in your reality, when individuals fall in love, they become incapable, landlords cease to demand rent, and the necessity to provide for oneself simply vanishes!! How wonderful!!”
