Boomerang, starring Jeet and Rukmini, was released on June 7. The pair came to the stage of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa for the film’s promotion. In that episode, a little contestant called Jeet ‘Dada’ (big brother) and called the host Abir Chatterjee ‘Kaku’ (uncle). The judge’s panel jokingly asked whether Abir was hurt.

The participant, Atanu Mishra, came to the reality show with a harmonium. The little boy hails from Kanthi, East Midnapore. He came to the show with his parents and best friend, his harmonium. His parents made him a small harmonium considering his age and height. He never lets it part. He called Abir, ‘Uncle’, and Abir joked, “Don't call me uncle in front of the others.” But Atanu did not agree to that and said “I will call you uncle in front of everyone.” Abir’s heroine in the film Switzerland Rukmini Maitra was sitting there. The twist came later. Atanu called Jeet ‘Dada’. Koushiki and Raghab teased Abir regarding this.

Koushiki and Raghab sang the iconic Manna Dey song ‘Jokhon Keu Amake Pagol Bole’. They changed- the line and it became ‘Jokhon Keu Amake Kaku Bole’. Iman also joined them and said ‘Jeet Da and Abir Kaku.’ Rukmini teased, ‘Abir, this became a boomerang’. Jeet rolled out in laughter. Abir feigned anger.

In Boomerang's trailer also, ‘Kaku’ was mentioned. Robot Rukmini, named Nisha, sat on Sourav Das’s lap and asked ‘Where is your pain, Kaku?’ So, many people are guessing that the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa incident is scripted. However, many people don’t know that Jeet is older than Abir.

Jeet is now 45, while Abir is now 43. Rukmini is much younger than both of them. She was born in 1991 and is currently 32 years old.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa streams on Zee5 and it is also available on OTTplay Premium.
