Director SS Rajamouli faces allegations of harassment and mistreatment from producer Uppalapati Srinivasa Rao, who asserts that he has been a close associate of Rajamouli since the 1990s. In a video shared by Mana Stars, Srinivasa accused the RRR director of being the cause of his personal and professional difficulties.

Srinivasa recorded a video and submitted it to the Mettu Police Station along with a letter, which was later obtained by Big TV. In the video, Srinivasa states, “India’s foremost director, SS Rajamouli, along with Rama Rajamouli, is the cause of my decision to end my life. You may perceive this as a publicity stunt, but this is my final correspondence. Individuals such as MM Keeravaani, Chandrasekhar Yeleti, and Hanu Raghavapudi are aware of the close relationship I have maintained with Rajamouli over the years. I never anticipated that a woman could create a rift between us.”

Additionally, Srinivasa asserted in the video that he and Rajamouli are involved in a ‘love triangle’ with a woman, reminiscent of the plot in Sukumar’s film Arya 2. “He urged me to relinquish my love for her, and although I initially resisted, I eventually acquiesced. He suspected that I had disclosed our situation to others, which led to his relentless torment following an argument. We collaborated until the film Yamadonga (2007), but he subsequently destroyed my life. His behavior became increasingly abusive after he achieved fame. At 55 years of age, I have lived a solitary existence,” he claimed, urging the police to conduct a lie detector examination.

Recent work

Rajamouli's most recent directorial endeavor was the 2022 film RRR, which prominently featured Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the principal roles. Notably, Jr NTR also appeared in the 2007 film Yamadonga. At present, the director is engaged in the production of an action-adventure film alongside Mahesh Babu. There are also speculations regarding Priyanka Chopra being cast in a leading role in this upcoming project.
