The anticipation surrounding Shah Rukh Khan's forthcoming projects consistently reaches a high point among his fans. Following a five-year break, his release of three consecutive films in 2023 significantly heightened excitement regarding his future endeavors. Although 2024 has not seen any new releases from him, interest in his next film, King, remains robust. This project, featuring Suhana Khan alongside him, was initially under the direction of Sujoy Ghosh, a filmmaker celebrated for his suspenseful storytelling. However, while Ghosh continues to contribute as the writer, reports suggest that Siddharth Anand has taken over the directorial role. Recent reports indicate that the production team is considering enlisting a prominent Bollywood actress for a special cameo in the film.

Kareena Kapoor Khan or Deepika Padukone to Make a Cameo in King?

Indeed, you read that correctly! Shah Rukh Khan and his team are diligently working on King, which has encountered a few challenges recently. As production approaches, it is rumored that SRK aims to enhance the film's appeal with a notable cameo. According to a report from News18, the production team is currently deliberating between Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor Khan for this eagerly awaited role. 

While there has been no official announcement, the team is enthusiastic about the possibility of securing either Deepika or Kareena Kapoor Khan for this pivotal cameo, although details regarding the final decision remain undisclosed. Both actresses, recognized for their exceptional performances, have a long history of collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan. Deepika made her Bollywood debut opposite SRK in Om Shanti Om and later appeared with him in Chennai Express, Happy New Year, Pathaan, and Jawan. Conversely, Kareena has shared the screen with him in films such as Aśoka, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Don, and others.

In addition to Shah Rukh and Suhana Khan, the film King features Abhay Verma, known for his role in Munjya. During the Locarno Film Festival, SRK shared insights about the project, stating, "It is an action drama, a Hindi film. It promises to be intriguing. I have been eager to undertake a film of this nature for several years, specifically for the past seven or eight years. We believed that Sujoy would be the ideal choice, as we aimed for it to resonate emotionally. Our collective goal is to create an engaging, action-filled, and emotionally charged film."

Subsequently, at an event in Abu Dhabi, he remarked, "I will be filming for a few months. My director, Siddharth Anand, is quite strict. He also directed Pathaan. He has instructed me not to disclose any details about our work. While I cannot provide specifics, I can guarantee that it will be entertaining and enjoyable for the audience." Currently, King does not have a set release date, and aside from the participation of Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana, many aspects of the film remain unconfirmed by the production team.
