Ryan Reynolds is sharing a glimpse of his feelings as his wife, Blake Lively, has taken legal action against Justin Baldoni. In his first update since the news of Lively’s harassment complaint came out, the Deadpool actor showed his support for the SickKids Foundation while subtly addressing the whirlwind of media attention and the legal issues his family is facing.

Meanwhile, Baldoni, who has denied all the allegations against him, made his first public appearance with his wife on Monday after the lawsuit was filed.

Ryan Reynolds posted for the first time after Blake Lively's lawsuit

It’s nearly Christmas Eve, and the last chance to donate to [SickKids Foundation] is here,” the Deadpool star shared on Monday, December 23. He encouraged his 53.8 million followers to pitch in for the charity by posting a fun video of himself in his Deadpool outfit. In the clip, he’s joined by his 8-year-old daughter, Inez, who’s rocking a Kidpool costume.

Reynolds, who also has daughters James, 10, Betty, 5, and son Olin, 1, with his wife Blake Lively, took this opportunity to rally support for the cause. Reflecting on his recent feelings during Lively’s sexual harassment lawsuit against her co-star and director, he said, “Thanks to [Bryan Rowland] for directing this awesome little video when I really wasn’t in the mood to wear the suit.”

He also expressed gratitude to [Lynda Carter] for her time and talent, and to his daughter for being such a good sport, even when he asked her to swear (for a good cause). Reynolds mentioned that he and Blake would match donations up to $500k to help families facing tough times.

A source close to the couple told People that Ryan is fully supporting Lively as she navigates her sexual harassment complaint against Baldoni, standing by her during the legal fight and the negative publicity aimed at her. “Ryan is always her rock,” the source noted, emphasizing their incredibly special bond.

Blake Lively is taking legal action against her co-star Justin Baldoni

Lively and Baldoni recently shared the screen in It Ends With Us, but the film's promotion took a hit due to the drama surrounding their relationship on set. There were serious allegations of sexual harassment and body shaming that clouded the production. Just before the holidays, the Gossip Girl star filed an eight-page lawsuit against Baldoni, making several serious accusations. The lawsuit claims there was a toxic work environment, with Baldoni allegedly changing the script to add more intimate scenes, including unwanted kisses. Lively also accused him of asking inappropriate questions about her personal life with her husband. On top of that, both Baldoni and producer Jamey Heath reportedly entered Lively's trailer without permission while she was undressed or breastfeeding.

Besides the harassment allegations, Lively accused her co-star of trying to tarnish her reputation. In her court documents, she included evidence, like leaked text messages between Baldoni and his PR team, to back up her claims. Baldoni’s lawyer hit back, criticizing Lively for what he called “dubious PR tactics.”

“TAG PR acted like any other crisis management firm would when dealing with a client facing threats from two very powerful individuals with deep pockets,” Bryan Freedman said in a statement to Us Weekly. “The standard scenario planning TAG PR created turned out to be unnecessary since audiences found Lively’s own actions, interviews, and marketing during the promotional tour off-putting, and the media picked up on that organically.”
