Actor TJ Miller's past comments about Ryan Reynolds during the filming of Deadpool have resurfaced, especially with new allegations involving Reynolds' wife, Blake Lively, and her legal issues with Justin Baldoni putting the Deadpool star back in the spotlight.

In a 2022 episode of The Adam Carolla Show, Miller described Reynolds as “horrifically mean” to him while they were on set.

He recounted a moment where Reynolds supposedly said, “You know what’s great about you, Weasel? You’re not the star, but you do just enough exposition that it’s funny and then we can leave and get back to the real movie.” Miller found the whole thing “weird,” but he emphasized that he didn’t hold any hard feelings toward Reynolds, even though he wouldn’t want to work with him again. “I kinda wish him well because he’s so good at Deadpool... but it’s strange that he seems to dislike me.” Shortly after the interview, Miller mentioned that Reynolds reached out through email to clarify things, saying their relationship was “fine.”

Lively's lawyers describe Baldoni's counter-suit as a textbook case of DARVO

These renewed allegations come at a time when Reynolds' wife is in the middle of a legal dispute with It Ends With Us director Justin Baldoni.

Lively has accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and creating a “hostile work environment” during the filming. Baldoni has denied these claims and has filed a $400 million lawsuit against Lively, Reynolds, and her publicist, Leslie Soane, claiming defamation.

In his lawsuit, Baldoni alleges that Lively took over the creative process and spoiled his experience at the film’s premiere by supposedly keeping him and his family confined in a basement area under tight security to prevent any interaction with her.

Lively’s lawyers responded, saying, “This is a familiar narrative: A woman comes forward with solid proof of harassment and retaliation, and the perpetrator tries to flip the script on the victim.” They described Baldoni’s lawsuit as a textbook case of DARVO (Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender).

“The evidence will demonstrate that Sony requested Ms. Lively to manage Sony’s version of the film, which they ultimately chose for distribution and it turned out to be a huge success.”
