Earlier this year, we reported that actress Rupsa Chatterjee will host her social wedding this year. As we step into ‘Debi Paksha’, the Tansener-Tanpura actress geared up to tie the knot with Sayandeep Sarkar. The duo completed their registry marriage last year. Now they are hosting a ritual marriage ceremony with their friends and family members.  

On October 3, Rupsa had her gaye holud ceremony. She was seen sitting on a huge lotus-famed copper urn when she was poured with haldi, oil, and water. The actress looked gorgeous in a yellow and red Banarasi sari with a heavy zari border in red. She donned floral jewellery to complete her morning look. The gaye holud ceremony took place at SK Gardens at around 2 pm. It was a private affair with just her family members and close friends. The reception will take place on October 5.  

Rupsa, a known face on television, has been in a relationship with Sayandeep for a long time. Their fans were waiting for their social marriage. Earlier, in an interview with Anandabazar Online, Rupsa said, “I met Sayandeep two years ago. Then I decided to marry him. We had a legal marriage (registry marriage) in 2023. Now we will have a social marriage 15 in the presence of our families. Friends from the industry will be there.”
