Model-turned-actor Rohman Shawl made his entry into Tamil cinema with the film Amaran. In this production, which stars Sivakarthikeyan, Rohman portrayed the role of the antagonist Asif Wani. Following its theatrical release, Amaran became available on Netflix on December 5. Shortly after the film's digital premiere, Rohman participated in an exclusive interview with OTTplay, where he discussed his experiences collaborating with Sivakarthikeyan and expressed admiration for Sai Pallavi.

Rohman Shawl praises Amaran co-star Sai Pallavi

Rohman Shawl expressed his desire to collaborate with Sai Pallavi in the future, despite not sharing any scenes with her in Amaran. He commended the actress, stating, "She is an exceptional talent. Upon seeing her performance on screen, I immediately recognized her brilliance. I recall the release of her teaser, showcasing her character's introduction, and I thought, 'Oh my God! This woman is going to make my character even more unlikable.' That illustrates the influence of such an actress."

He also reminisced about participating in workshops alongside Sivakarthikeyan. Rohman informed OTT that he has had a long-standing acquaintance with the actor. "We collaborated in the workshops, and I observed his unpretentious nature as he arrived without any pretence. Despite being a major star, he does not let that define him. This humility is what elevates him to an even greater status," Shawl expressed.

Rohman on working with Sivakarthikeyan

Rohman disclosed that he was unable to identify Sivakarthikeyan while on set. This was due to the actor's significant effort in transforming his appearance and character for the film Amaran.

I recall the first time I observed him in the workshop and then during the shoot. Initially, I did not recognize him. While I was preparing for my scene, I heard someone calling my name. I thought to myself, 'Who is this individual in military attire?' As I approached, it became clear to me that it was Siva, sir. I mentioned to him that I failed to recognize him when he called out to me. This experience highlights the immense effort he has dedicated to the film. Working alongside such talented individuals has genuinely been an inspiration, he remarked.
