Fans are in for a real treat because Rohit Shetty is expanding his cop universe! After hits like Singham, Simmba, and Sooryavanshi, he recently shared his exciting plans for the franchise. Rohit confirmed that a sequel to Simmba, starring Ranveer Singh, is on the way. Plus, he mentioned that Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi will also be getting a second installment soon!

During a chat with Komal Nahta on his podcast Gamechangers, Rohit mentioned, "There will definitely be a part 2 for Simmba, and Sooryavanshi will continue as well. We’ll be bringing in more people and making more films in this cop universe. That’s the plan!" said the director of Singham.

During the interview, Rohit shared that there weren't any initial plans for a cop universe. He mentioned that when he created Singham back in 2011, he never thought it would turn into such a massive brand. The concept of linking all the cop films came about while he was writing Simmba, which ultimately paved the way for Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi and the growth of the cop universe.

Deepika and Tiger are set to take on bigger roles in the future

Rohit shared some exciting details about Singham Again coming in 2024, which features a mix of familiar and fresh faces. He mentioned that the concept of an ensemble cast, including stars like Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and Deepika Padukone, was born back in 2019 while he was working on Sooryavanshi. Rohit also explained that his team has developed the character arcs for newcomers Deepika and Tiger, ensuring they have significant roles in upcoming films.
