Prosenjit Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta’s 50th film as an onscreen couple, Ajogyo, is still running in theatres. Directed by Kaushik Ganguly, the film also features Silajit Majumder and others. Though the film got a positive response at the box office, Rituparna has been in the headlines for the last few months due to some completely different issues. She was summoned by the ED for her alleged involvement in the ration scam. But this is past now. The actress is now ready for Durga Puja.

The Puja countdown has started. Rituparna Sengupta is offering a great gift to the people of Mumbai. She will hold a Durga Puja in Mumbai in collaboration with Mumbai Bengali Cultural Association (MBCA).

In an interview with Mid-Day, the actress said, “MBCA successfully arranged Durga Puja in the last couple of years. This time, I joined this effort and planned to make a bigger Puja on the national level. I want to celebrate other big festivals like Garba and Dhunuchi Dance. We will hold this festival by gathering people from all the communities. It will be the biggest festival on the national level.”

Gorgeous Durga Pujas are held in Mumbai every year. In Bandra Kurla Complex, Kumar Shanu has been arranging the MBCA Puja for the last two years. This time, Rituparna takes his place.

The Puja will be held from October 8 to October 13. In last year's puja, Dharmendra, Anupam Kher, Mouni Roy, Alka Yagnik, Anu Malik, former Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari, and CM Eknath Shinde were present. Hopefully, the list will be longer this year.
