Amid the uproar that has been going on in Kolkata over the rape and murder incident at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, Madhuri Dixit came to the City Of Joy to attend an event. Rituparna Sengupta met her at the event of a popular commercial brand in the city. The Bengali actress said that this was like a fangirl moment for her. Two actresses wished each other and exchanged praises for their attire. Rituparna gifted a saree to Madhuri. 

What talk did they have? In an interview with Anandabazar Online, Rituparna informed that they talked about motherhood. Both their sons live abroad for studies. Since the kids live far away, the mothers remain worried, she said. They sometimes visit their sons. They shared those experiences. 

Rituparna further said that after Madhuri got married, people close to Rituparna told her often, ‘See, both yours and Madhuri’s husbands live abroad’ which seemed to have connected these two actresses. Rituparna told this to Madhuri and both had a good laugh at the event. 

Meanwhile, Rituparna attended the ongoing protest at Shyambazar on Tuesday.
