Rituparna Sengupta went to the CGO Complex on Wednesday afternoon after the Enforcement Directorate summoned her regarding the ration scam. She was summoned last month. She sent an email that she could not go at that time for being abroad and would visit the ED once she came back. 

According to the initial reports, the ED summoned the actress to interrogate based on some bank transactions. Rituparna told the media, “I was surprised to hear this. I don't know anything about it. What is the ration scam? I don't have any idea.” She further said, “I have several of my films to be released soon. Amidst this, this news is not good for me. It was a defamation for me. I have been working hard all my life. It is unfair to suddenly say something like this.”

Rituparna said that she would answer the summons after consulting her lawyer. After returning to India, she did the promotion of Ajogyo, where she teamed up with Prosenjit Chatterjee for the 50th time. 

Previously, Rituparna was questioned by the ED regarding the Rose Valley scam. Rose Valley once produced several Bengali films where Rituparna acted. That was why she met the Rose Valley chief Goutam Kundu, said the ED at that time.
