Producer Ritesh Sidhwani was present at the trailer launch of "Superboys Of Malegaon" in Mumbai on Wednesday. During the event, he expressed concerns that high ticket prices are deterring audiences from attending theatres, referencing the increased attendance observed on Cinema Day as a pertinent example.

In a press conference following the launch, actors Adarsh Gourav, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Shashank Arora were queried about their preferences between OTT platforms and theatrical releases. Vineet humorously remarked, “I have a bowl in my hand. Give me whatever you want.” Ritesh contributed to the discussion by stating, “I am here in a theatre, especially in the presence of Anil Thadani. However, I must emphasize that the pricing of tickets is a significant barrier preventing people from visiting theatres.”
He articulated that for foot traffic to rise, ticket prices must be adjusted to more affordable levels, noting, “On Cinema Day, we observe a reduction in ticket prices, which results in a substantial increase in attendance. If this could be modified to offer a price point that is accessible to a broader audience, it would be beneficial. There are numerous alternatives available; many individuals consider watching films on streaming services. However, one must wait for a film to be available on streaming for approximately 8 to 10 weeks after its theatrical release.”
Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti were also in attendance, along with Nikhil Madhok, Head of Originals at Prime Video India. Nasir Shaikh, a key figure in the Malegaon film industry, was also present.
