Actor Vikram is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Thangalaan and has been travelling various cities for it. Recently, the actor was in Bengaluru for the film promotions and had chanced a meeting with actor and filmmaker Rishab Shetty. The latter took to X to praise Vikram and said how it was meeting his "idol".

Vikram, who is currently promoting his film Thangalaan, recently met Kannada actor and director Rishab Shetty. The latter took to X to post their pictures and penned a post to convey how Vikram has been his "idol" and meeting him after waiting for 24 years.

"In my journey in becoming an actor, #Vikram Sir has always been my inspiration. After 24 long years of waiting, meeting my idol today makes me feel like the luckiest person on Earth. Thank you for inspiring actors like me, and wishing you all the best for #Thangalaan. Love you, @Chiyaan,” Rishab Shetty wrote on X.

Meanwhile Rishab Shetty is expected to be a strong contender at the upcoming 70th National Film Awards which is set to be announced in August. The actor has starred and helmed the hit Kannada film Kantara which not only broke records at the box office but also received much laurels for Rishab's performance.

On Thangalaan

Vikram is headlining upcoming film Thangalaan which is set to release on August 15. The film is directed by filmmaker Pa Ranjith and stars Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, Pasupathy, Hari Krishnan and others.

Thangalaan is backed by Studio Green, Neelam Productions and Jio Cinema. The film is touted to be a period action drama revolving around a group of tribals employed by British government to find gold in Kolar Gold Fields. However, they get possessed by a demonic sorceress. Thangalaan is one of the hugely anticipated films from Tamil cinema. It has music scored by GV Prakash.
