A fresh conflict is emerging in Hollywood. Reports indicate that Rihanna is actively seeking to have the entire Kardashian family prohibited from attending the 2025 Met Gala, citing the family's contentious connections with Chris Brown and Kanye West.

The artist, who has experienced turbulent relationships with both individuals, is purportedly leveraging her influence to guarantee that the Kardashians are absent from the event next year.

Rihanna targets the Kardashian family

According to RadarOnline, Rihanna aims to remove Kendall Jenner and her entire family from the guest list of the Met Gala next year.

"Rihanna has never been particularly fond of the Kardashians. During Kim's marriage to Kanye West, she attempted to befriend Rihanna but was completely rebuffed. Now that her long-term partner, A$AP Rocky, is involved in the planning of this prestigious fashion event, Rihanna holds significant influence over the guest list," stated an insider.

At 36, Rihanna harbours animosity towards 29-year-old Kendall, particularly due to Kendall's past association with her ex, Chris Brown, in 2014. Chris had assaulted Rihanna in 2009, and Kendall also had a brief relationship with A$AP Rocky in 2017.

"Rihanna was not pleased with Kendall's connection to Chris. Kendall made a choice, and it was the wrong one. Although Rihanna and Rocky were merely friends at that time, it did not prevent her from feeling possessive. This situation has only intensified her disdain for Kendall, and now she intends to leverage the Met Gala for a touch of vindictive retribution," the insider added.

Rocky is serving as co-chair of the 2025 Met Gala committee alongside Vogue editor Anna Wintour. The event is scheduled for May 2025. The Kardashians have consistently been prominent attendees at this prestigious occasion over the years.

Sources indicate that there is considerable support for Rihanna among those who wish to see the Kardashian family excluded from the event.

The theme for the 2025 Met Gala will honour the fashion of Black men throughout history. Pharrell Williams, Lewis Hamilton, Colman Domingo, and honorary chair LeBron James will co-host this significant night in fashion. The theme, titled "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style," is intended to reflect the essence of Black dandyism. However, the specific dress code has not yet been revealed.
