Bollywood lost a gem when the versatile actor Rishi Kapoor passed away in 2020. Today (September 4) marks his 72nd birth anniversary. On the special occasion, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni remembered Rishi Kapoor and also penned a heartwarming note for her father, along with the throwback picture. Riddhima also called niece Raha Kapoor a ‘mini version’ of Rishi Kapoor.

Riddhima Kapoor’s remembrance post for Rishi Kapoor

Today is a special day for the Kapoor family, as they all remembered Rishi Kapoor’s legacy and shared heartfelt wishes on his 72nd birth anniversary. The Amar Akbar Anthony actor passed away at the age of 67 in 2020 due to a chronic disease. Taking to her Instagram stories, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu’s daughter, Riddhima Kapoor, shared a sweet post for the late father along with a picture.

Riddhima penned a long note and reshared an old picture with father Rishi Kapoor and daughter Samara. The throwback picture features Rishi Kapoor in a black T-shirt as he gets ready to cut a birthday cake. He is accompanied by his granddaughter, Samara. The happy picture is taken from one of his birthdays, and the decorated dining room with colorful balloons and birthday props only adds a nostalgic charm to the picture.

She also expressed the unfulfilled desire to watch him spend time with his granddaughters, Samara and Raha Kapoor. For the unversed, Rishi Kapoor passed away two years before the birth of his son Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s daughter Raha.

“Happy birthday Papa (red heart emoji). How I wish you were here celebrating your special day with both your granddaughters. Your ‘bandari’ Sam is all grown up and baby Raha is the cutest – she is a mini You. Papa I will always cherish the memories we got to share. We miss you so much, and our love for you only deepens with every passing day (red heart emoji)," Riddhima penned the caption.

Raha Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor’s resemblance

Raha Kapoor has been the center of attraction ever since she made her first appearance before the paparazzi. Her cuteness and innocence often win hearts on social media with pictures going viral. It is notable that it is not only her aunt Riddhima who feels she resembles her grandfather but also Alia Bhatt. Previously on Koffee with Karan season 8, Alia Bhatt shared that Raha resembles Rishi Kapoor a lot.

Meanwhile, Neetu Kapoor also shared some beautiful snaps of Rishi Kapoor as she cherished the moments spent with him. In a heartwarming Instagram post she wrote, "In remembrance (accompanied by a red-heart emoji) would have been 72 today."

Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan also remembered his late friend with a throwback picture. “Chintu Gone but never forgotten, your spirits still lives in our hearts (white heart emoji),” he wrote in the caption. Check out the post below:
