Following the Central Bureau of Investigation's (CBI) clearance in the case surrounding the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Rhea Chakraborty made her first public appearance on Monday. Accompanied by her father, Indrajit Chakraborty, and her brother, Showik Chakraborty, she visited a temple in Mumbai.

Rhea, along with her father and brother, was seen at the Siddhivinayak Temple, with numerous videos and images of their outing circulating on social media. In one video, the family was captured walking towards the temple and posing with their hands folded for the cameras. Rhea Chakraborty donned a green and pink floral suit, while Showik chose a white kurta paired with denim.

Regarding the CBI investigation into Sushant Singh Rajput's case, the agency submitted a closure report on Saturday concerning the actor's death in 2020. Sushant, aged 34, was discovered deceased at his residence in Bandra on June 14, 2020, an incident that sparked significant controversy and led to the case being assigned to the CBI. The postmortem report indicated that asphyxia was the cause of death, with the examination conducted at Cooper Hospital in Mumbai.

Rhea's attorney, Satish Maneshinde, has consistently maintained that his client had no role in the actor's demise. In statements to the media, he remarked, "From the very beginning, I have asserted that Rhea Chakraborty was not involved in Sushant Singh Rajput's death. However, on July 27, 2020, a complaint was lodged against her, prompting the investigation. Subsequently, we sought intervention from the Supreme Court."

He emphasized that despite Sushant residing with two to three servants and flatmates at the time of his death, his family accused Rhea, filing a case in Patna that claimed she misappropriated ₹15 crore of his assets. This accusation ultimately resulted in the Supreme Court transferring the investigation to the CBI.
