Choreographer Remo D'Souza, despite facing threats to his life, managed to attend the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj discreetly, where he sought spiritual blessings.

Remo recently attended the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 with his wife. The dancer and filmmaker shared a video on social media that documented his experience, which included taking a sacred dip in the holy waters of Prayagraj.

The video also featured a touching moment in which Remo received blessings from the esteemed Swami Kailashanand Giri Maharaj.

In a recent post on Instagram, Remo provided a glimpse into his understated visit to the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025. The video shows him dressed in a simple yet sophisticated all-black traditional outfit, with his face partially obscured, allowing him to blend seamlessly with the crowd and maintain a degree of anonymity.

This method created difficulties for those in his vicinity to identify the renowned choreographer and actor. The video additionally depicts him swimming in the river, engaging in prayer, and navigating the area by boat.

He shared the video without any accompanying text but included hashtags: #harhargange, #mahakumbh2025, #mahakumbhmela2025, #uterpradeshtourism, and #prayagraj.

In another post, the choreographer and his spouse Lizelle are shown in a meeting with Swami Kailashanand Giri Maharaj.

Remo gets a death threat

Four well-known Bollywood figures, including actor and comedian Kapil Sharma, actor Rajpal Yadav, choreographer Remo D'Souza, and actor-singer Sugandha Mishra, have reportedly received death threats originating from Pakistan. An FIR has been lodged in Mumbai, and the police are currently investigating the situation.

The email containing the death threat asserts, “We are closely observing your recent activities and deem it necessary to inform you of a serious issue. This is not a publicity stunt or an attempt to intimidate you; we implore you to regard this message with the highest level of seriousness and confidentiality.” The email concludes with the signature of the sender, identified as ‘BISHNU.’

On December 14, 2024, Rajpal Yadav received a threatening email from an individual identifying himself as Bishnu, which included threats against Kapil Sharma and his team due to the sponsorship of their show by Salman Khan. This prompted swift action, leading Yadav's wife, Radha Rajpal Yadav, to file a police report at the Amboli Police Station in Mumbai.

In a statement to Hindustan Times, Lizelle D'Souza, the wife of Remo D'Souza, refuted the claims, stating, “No, it’s false, nothing of the sort.” She elaborated, “We also came across this information in the media. We received spam emails on the company email address regarding unrelated matters, which we reported to the authorities. The cyber department is investigating, and they also believe it to be spam.”

She further remarked, “There is no cause for concern. If there is any issue, the police will address it. I am unsure why this is being associated with the death threats. Perhaps the media has misconstrued the information. It could pertain to someone else, and they may have conflated it with other incidents.”
