The centenary celebration of the legendary Indian cinema figure Raj Kapoor in Mumbai was a glamorous event, attracting numerous Bollywood celebrities. Notably, actress Rekha captivated the audience with a touching interaction with Agastya Nanda, the grandson of her Silsila co-star Amitabh Bachchan.

During the festivities in Mumbai on Friday evening, Rekha was observed sharing warm smiles and engaging in conversation with Ranbir Kapoor and Agastya Nanda. A video capturing her affectionate interaction with Agastya has surfaced on social media.
In the footage, Rekha is seen embracing Amitabh Bachchan's grandson, Agastya Nanda, while gently cradling his face. It appears she is offering him a compliment, as Agastya responds with a radiant smile. In a gesture of gratitude and respect, Agastya bows before Rekha, folding his hands in a namaste.
Before this touching exchange, Rekha was spotted gazing at a poster of Raj Kapoor at the event, visibly moved by the moment.
Agastya was present at the celebrations alongside his mother, Shweta Bachchan, and sister, Navya Naveli Nanda. The Nanda siblings are connected to the Kapoor family through their paternal grandmother, Ritu Nanda, who is the daughter of Raj Kapoor.

The RK Film Festival is being organized by PVR INOX Limited in collaboration with the Film Heritage Foundation to honor the cinematic legacy of Raj Kapoor on the occasion of his 100th birth anniversary. This three-day festival commenced on Friday and will feature a selection of ten films starring the legendary actor, including Aag, Barsaat, Awaara, Shree 420, Jagte Raho, Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai, Sangam, Mera Naam Joker, Bobby, and Ram Teri Ganga Maili. The screenings will take place in select PVR INOX theatres across 40 cities.
On the opening day, the entire Kapoor family, comprising Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Neetu Kapoor, and Karisma, gathered to partake in the festival's celebrations and captured an iconic family photograph at the RK Film Festival.
The event also attracted numerous celebrities, including Mahesh Bhatt, Farhan Akhtar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Boney Kapoor, Rashika Duggal, Soni Razdan, Shahin Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Padmini Kolhapure, among others, contributing to the star-studded atmosphere of the occasion.

Agastya Nanda embarked on his cinematic journey last year with Zoya Akhtar's coming-of-age period film, The Archies, released on Netflix India. Unfortunately, the film did not receive favourable reviews upon its release. Currently, Agastya is preparing for his debut on the big screen. Reports indicate that he will take on the leading role in Sriram Raghavan's upcoming project, Ekkis. This film, produced by Dinesh Vijan, is expected to be a biopic centred around the 1971 war hero Arun Khetarpal and will feature Dharmendra in a significant role.
