Actor Raveena Tandon expressed her astonishment upon learning of Saif Ali Khan's stabbing incident at his home in Mumbai and extended her wishes for his swift recovery. Additionally, she raised concerns regarding the rising crime rate in Bandra, emphasizing the necessity for enhanced safety protocols.

Raveena raises questions

On Thursday, Raveena utilized X, previously known as Twitter, to voice her frustration regarding the increasing number of cases involving celebrities in the affluent Bandra district of Mumbai. She believes that celebrities are becoming vulnerable targets for such offences in this locality.

“Targeting celebrities and other vulnerable individuals in what was once a secure residential area has become widespread, with Bandra succumbing to disorderly elements,” she stated in her message.

Raveena further remarked, “There are incidents of accident scams, hawker mafia activities, encroachments, land grabbing, and criminal elements engaging in bike thefts and chain snatching. There is a pressing need for more robust measures. Wishing you a swift recovery.”

Last year, in June, Raveena and her chauffeur were assaulted by a mob in Mumbai, following allegations of reckless driving against the driver. Subsequently, in an interview with NewsX Live, the actress disclosed that the Mumbai Police indicated the attack was orchestrated in advance.

Saif Ali Khan attacked

Saif Ali Khan was assaulted early Thursday morning in what his team described as an attempted burglary. The incident transpired at approximately 2:30 am while he was resting at his residence in Mumbai's Bandra area, accompanied by other family members. The actor sustained multiple injuries after being attacked with a knife by an intruder. He was subsequently transported to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent an extensive surgical procedure.

According to initial investigations, the intruder did not forcibly enter the actor's 12th-floor apartment in the Satguru Sharan building; rather, it is believed that he may have gained access earlier in the night, as stated by a police official. Following the attack, which occurred around 2:30 am, the assailant fled using the staircase. Medical professionals at Lilavati Hospital reported that Khan was in stable condition after the surgery to remove the knife lodged in his back.
