October 9 was a black day for the whole nation as the legendary industrialist and icon, Ratan Tata passed away. He was 86 years old when he breathed his last. In his celebrated career, Tata dedicated his life in making the world a better place. Tata has left an indelible mark on almost every sector of the Indian commercial space, with most of his ventures achieving success. Today, October 10, celebrities paid their last respects to Ratan Tata at his funeral. During the event, Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao spoke to the media and expressed their grief as they lost the gem of a person.

Speaking to media, Aamir Khan said that the contribution of Ratan Tata to the nation is priceless. "He was a rare person and we all will miss him a lot," Aamir said.
On the other hand, Kiran Rao shared that Ratan Tata was an amazing person. He has done a lot for our country and he will be greatly missed.

The mortal remains of iconic industrialist Ratan Tata, which were placed at Mumbai's NCPA Lawns to allow the public to pay their last respects, were taken to Worli crematorium for last rites after 4 pm.
The legendary industrialist and philanthropist passed away on october 9 at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai at the age of 86. Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde announced that the last rites will be conducted with full state honours.

Salman Khan took to his official X handle and wrote "Deeply saddened by the passing of Mr. Ratan Tata (sic)."
Ajay Devgn penned, "The world mourns the loss of a visionary. Ratan Tata's legacy will forever inspire generations. His contributions to India and beyond are immeasurable. We are deeply grateful. Rest in peace, Sir (sic)."

Meanwhile, Ratan Tata was in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) since Monday (October 7). Tata had earlier shared an Instagram post where he mentioned that there was no cause for concern as he was undergoing a check-up for age-related medical conditions.
