On Friday, Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna were in Hyderabad to hype up their new movie Chhaava. While they were launching a song called Jaane Tu from the film, Rashmika took the opportunity to show Vicky how to greet the crowd in Telugu.

Vicky shared some clips from the promotional event on his Instagram stories, giving a shoutout to Rashmika for helping him learn the language. He mentioned, “I meant every word. Thanks, Hyderabad,” while sharing a video where he greets everyone in Telugu, saying, “Hello everyone. I hope you’re all doing well. I’m really excited to be in Hyderabad today.”

He also referred to Rashmika as his ‘teacher’ in another video, where he encouraged everyone to catch the film in theaters on February 14 and show their support. The crowd was all cheers for both of them, clearly impressed with his Telugu skills.

Chhaava Overview

Chhaava, directed by Laxman Utekar, tells the story of Maratha king Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. This historical action flick is inspired by Shivaji Sawant's Marathi novel, Chhava. Dinesh Vijan is behind the production through Maddock Films, and Akshaye Khanna is also part of the cast. Filming kicked off in 2023 and wrapped up in 2024. The music for the film is composed by AR Rahman, and it's set to hit theaters on February 14. The release was originally planned for December last year but got pushed back to this new date.

Future tasks ahead

Rashmika, fresh off her role in the blockbuster Pushpa 2: The Rule, is set to appear in Sikandar alongside Salman Khan and Thama with Ayushmann Khurrana in Hindi. She’s also got The Girlfriend with Dheekshith Shetty and Kubera with Dhanush lined up in Telugu. Meanwhile, Vicky, who recently starred in Bad Newz, will be seen next in Love & War with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. He hasn’t revealed any other upcoming projects yet.
