Sreeleela, known for her roles in Telugu and Kannada cinema, has been considered a strong candidate to complete the love triangle in Pati Patni Aur Woh 2, featuring Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar, since last year. She is currently filming an untitled romantic project in Siliguri, which marks her debut in Hindi cinema and her second project alongside Aaryan. In the meantime, sources indicate that producers and director Mudassar Aziz are keen on casting Rasha Thadani for the comedy film.

Producers interested in Rasha Thadani for the role  

According to reports from Mid Day, the producers of Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 are looking to introduce a fresh on-screen couple. They have been considering Thadani, who made her acting debut in January with Azaad and garnered attention with her single, Uyi Amma, despite the film's underwhelming box office performance.

In Basu's film, Sreeleela and Kartik Aaryan are already working together. The crew of Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 suggests that a new pairing will take center stage. Ultimately, the decision rests with Mudassar, who will determine the cast after conducting appearance tests, according to an insider.

The script has been finalized, and the filming schedule is set. Ananya Panday starred alongside Aaryan and Pednekar in the 2019 version of Pati Patni Aur Woh. The sequel is expected to commence filming once the lead actor completes Basu's romantic project.

An insider has revealed that the script for the sequel is set to be finalized in 2024, and Kartik is enthusiastic about returning to his role as the endearing small-town character. Following the actor's endorsement of the screenplay for Pati Patni Aur Woh 2, the producers recognized it was the right moment to commence filming. They have swiftly taken steps to secure the actor's availability, understanding his packed schedule and the numerous projects he has lined up. The insider previously mentioned that Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 will begin production once Kartik completes his work on Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
