Actor Raveena Tandon’s daughter, Rasha, has shared insights into her unique and affectionate upbringing. In a recent interview, Rasha described her childhood experience of growing up alongside her mother's adopted daughters, Pooja and Chaya, as one characterized by "complete and utter madness."
Rasha looks back at her childhood
Reflecting on her formative years, Rasha noted that Raveena adopted Pooja and Chaya when she was just 21 years old. Raveena later married film distributor Anil Thadani in 2004, with whom she has two biological children: Rasha and her son, Ranbirvardhan.
In her conversation with Femina, Rasha recounted how the four siblings often divided themselves into two teams, with Chaya and Ranbir on one side and Pooja and Rasha on the other. She characterized their dynamic as “madness,” explaining, “Complete and utter madness. Chaya didi and Ranbir are perhaps a little calmer, but Pooja didi and I, we can fight and argue as a team against them.”
Raveena adopted Chaya and Pooja in 1995. Chaya has pursued a career as an air hostess, while Pooja works as an event manager. In a 2016 interview with Hindustan Times, Raveena expressed her deep bond with her daughters, stating, “My daughters are my best friends. I remember, when I got married, they were the ones who sat in the car and led me to the mandap. And now, I got the chance to walk them down the aisle. It is such a special feeling.”

Regarding Rasha’s professional endeavors, she made her Bollywood debut this year in the film Azaad. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Pragya Kapoor, Azaad tells a story centered on the relationship between humans and animals, emphasizing themes of love, loyalty, and courage. Set in pre-independence India, the film follows a 19-year-old named Govind and his extraordinary horse they explore the dacoit and zamindari system. The film was released in theaters on January 17 but did not achieve the anticipated success at the box office.
