Ranveer Allahbadia-Nikki Sharma Breakup Rumors Sparked by Cryptic Post Amid ‘India’s Got Latent’ Controversy
1 month ago | 5 Views
Ranveer Allahbadia has encountered criticism due to his contentious statements made during an appearance on Samay Raina's show, India's Got Latent. In light of this, his alleged girlfriend, Nikki Sharma, has sparked speculation regarding their relationship status with a vague post about dismissing negative energy, coinciding with reports that they had unfollowed one another on Instagram.
As reported by Bollywood Shaadis, Ranveer had ceased following Nikki on Instagram, and she reciprocated by unfollowing both of his accounts. This situation has led to conjecture about a potential breakup between the two. Screenshots documenting their mutual unfollowing have circulated widely.
Further intensifying the speculation, Nikki recently posted a cryptic message regarding the body's ability to reject negative energy, stating, "Your body doesn’t just reject food; it also rejects energy. If your body starts rejecting certain places, people, or things, trust it and listen." This development follows the backlash Ranveer received for his remarks on India's Got Latent, which prompted formal complaints against him. Nevertheless, recent updates indicate that the couple has reconnected by following each other again on Instagram.

Months after Ranveer disclosed that he and his girlfriend encountered a near-death experience, rumours of their breakup began to circulate. The couple was enjoying a vacation in Goa when they almost drowned. Ranveer addressed the situation on his social media, stating, “We’re perfectly fine and well now. But yesterday at around 6:00 pm, my girlfriend and I had to be rescued from a bit of a situation.”
All about the controversy
In his recent appearance on Samay Raina's show, India's Got Latent, Ranveer Allahbadia posed a provocative question to a contestant: "Would you prefer to watch your parents engage in sexual activity every day or join them to conclude it once and for all?" This remark rapidly gained traction on social media, prompting calls for his cancellation due to the inappropriateness of the joke. One tweet questioned, "He received the ‘Disruptor of the Year’ award from India’s Prime Minister. In light of his offensive comments related to incest, will this accolade be rescinded? Or do such awards lack accountability?" Another user expressed, "Hello @BeerBicepsGuy, this is shameful! I urge @MIB_India to investigate these unfiltered shows that propagate vulgarity and indecency."
Prominent figures such as B Praak, Imtiaz Ali, Mukesh Khanna, and Mika Singh criticized both Ranveer and Samay for their offensive humour. The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) issued a press release calling for stringent measures against them and demanded an immediate ban on the show to avert the dissemination of harmful content.
In addition to Ranveer, the judging panel for the latest episode featured social media influencer Apoorva Makhija (The Rebel Kid), YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani, and comedian Jaspreet Singh. Despite Ranveer's public apology, a formal complaint was lodged against him, Apoorva, Samay Raina, and the producers of India's Got Latent for allegedly using 'abusive language' and 'promoting obscenity' on the program.
YouTube has subsequently removed the entire episode. Kanchan Gupta, Senior Advisor at the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, confirmed this action, stating on X, “The ‘India Has Latent’ episode on @YouTube featuring obscene and perverse remarks by Ranveer Allahbadia has been blocked following orders from the Government of India.”
