India's Got Latent, hosted by comedian Samay Raina, has been the talk of the town since its debut episode. After stirring up excitement with guests like Rakhi Sawant, Deepak Kalal, and Bharti Singh, the show has recently found itself in hot water over its latest episode. The guest causing the stir is Ranveer Allahbadia, better known as BeerBiceps. This content creator, who was honored with an award from PM Narendra Modi last year for his contributions, made some controversial remarks about a contestant, leading to significant backlash. In light of the situation, Ranveer has since apologized.
Ranveer Allahbadia shared his thoughts on India’s Got Latent
Ranveer Allahbadia was a judge on the latest episode of India’s Got Latent, sharing the spotlight with Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani, and Apoorva Mukhija, also known as The Rebel Kid. The show features judges roasting contestants to see how well they can improvise. At one point, Ranveer threw a wild question at a contestant: “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day or join them to finish it once and for all?” This left Samay Raina stunned, who reacted with, “What the f*?”
The comment went viral and sparked a huge backlash online. The controversy even caught the attention of Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, leading to a complaint against the show's creators, Ranveer, Samay, and Apoorva. In response, Samay Raina took to X (formerly Twitter) to apologize, saying, "I shouldn’t have said what I said on India’s Got Latent. I’m sorry."
Ranveer Allahbadia's Apology
Ranveer Allahbadia shared in his video message, "I realize my comment was totally out of line and honestly, not even amusing. Comedy isn’t really my thing. I just want to apologize. A lot of you have been wondering if this is how I want to use my platform, and the answer is a clear no. I’m not going to give any excuses or explanations for what went down. I just want to say I’m sorry. I messed up, and it wasn’t right."
He also talked about fans' worries about his content, especially since he's had some big names and leaders on his podcast. He mentioned, “People of all ages tune in to the podcast, and I don’t take that lightly. Disrespecting family is the last thing I’d ever do. I realize I need to use this platform more wisely—that’s been my biggest takeaway from this whole thing. I promise to do better. I've asked the team to cut out the insensitive parts from the video. All I can say is I’m sorry. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me as a person.”
