At the launch of the trailer for the eagerly awaited film Jaat, Randeep Hooda discussed his character and his experiences collaborating with the iconic actor Sunny Deol. In a heartfelt moment, Hooda revealed that he initially had reservations about accepting the role, but the enchantment of their partnership ultimately made it a rewarding experience. He elaborated on the intricacies of his character, noting that despite being a Jaat himself, he was not portraying a "Jaat" in the film, which posed a unique challenge. “In Jaat, I wasn’t playing a Jaat, which was an issue, but that’s the essence of entertainment. If anyone other than Sunny Paaji had taken on the role of a Jaat, I wouldn’t have participated in the film… Sunny Paaji is a childhood idol for all Jaats and North Indians,” Hooda expressed with profound admiration for his co-star.

Hooda praised Deol, characterizing him as a larger-than-life presence with an irresistible charm. “It was a tremendous honor to share the screen with him. He is incredibly kind and laid-back. Thank you, Gopi, for providing me with such a remarkable role.” 

He also reflected on his debut experience in the South Indian film industry, commending the respect that producers show towards directors' visions. “One aspect I truly appreciated about the South film industry, having worked there for the first time, is that producers genuinely honor the director's vision, which is something we should adopt in Bollywood,” he noted, highlighting the collaborative spirit of filmmaking in the South.

Hooda further conveyed his gratitude for the varied opportunities he has encountered throughout his career. “I consider myself fortunate to have explored a wide range of roles across different genres and industries, whether in Hollywood, Bollywood, and now I have the chance to work in the Telugu industry... I believe this is a significant blessing for me. I am grateful for these opportunities,” he stated.

Hooda elaborated on his role selection process, emphasizing that it is influenced by his current career stage and personal needs. "The choice of roles is contingent upon your position in a film, your activities, and what you feel is necessary at that moment... It varies significantly. I have committed fully to every type of film. In Jaat, I aimed to elevate my performance. Thanks to Gopi, this is one of the rare occasions where I have completely trusted the director's vision," he admitted.

With a remarkable cast and an exhilarating directorial debut from Gopichand Malineni in Bollywood, Jaat is poised to be a thrilling action film that will captivate audiences. The film boasts a stellar lineup, including Sunny Deol, Regina Cassandra, Randeep Hooda, and Vineet Kumar Singh, promising to deliver a compelling story. Jaat is scheduled for release in theaters on April 10, 2025.
