Ranbir Kapoor’s Guidance Helped Govinda’s Son Carve His Own Identity

Bollywood actor Govinda's son, Yashvardhan, is poised to make his film debut this year after a nine-year wait during which he focused on refining his skills and establishing his identity. He attributes much of his growth to actor Ranbir Kapoor.
In a conversation with The Times of India, Harshvardhan emphasized the significance of stepping outside the Bollywood environment to truly understand himself.

“Ranbir Kapoor played a pivotal role in encouraging me to go abroad to study filmmaking. He emphasized the necessity of living outside the Bollywood bubble, which allowed me to uncover my preferences, identity, and choices, ultimately helping me find my own voice. Beyond being an exceptional actor, Ranbir possesses a storyteller's vision. I also spent a year at an acting school in London and have participated in acting workshops in Mumbai, which I still engage in. Learning is a continuous journey; one can never claim to know everything,” the actor remarked.
He further shared that his father advised him to navigate his own path in Bollywood through hard work. According to Harshvardhan, his father emphasized that everyone has a unique journey and that it is essential to learn throughout the process.
'My father's only advice was not to use abusive language onscreen'
"My father has never used profanity in his films. His only piece of advice to me was to refrain from using abusive language in my work. I never witnessed him rehearsing his lines, yet his timing has always been impeccable. He possesses a photographic memory, and no one can surpass him in dancing or comedic timing. Observing him has taught me a great deal," Harshvardhan added.
About Harshvardhan's upcoming film
Harshvardhan reportedly auditioned for nine years before securing his first role in a romantic drama directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Sai Rajesh. The untitled film is scheduled for release later this year. He has previously assisted on projects such as Dishoom, Baaghi, and Salman Khan's upcoming film Kick 2.
