About Animal
Animal also featured Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Triptii Dimri, and Rashmika Mandanna alongside Ranbir. The film was produced by T-Series Films, Bhadrakali Pictures, and Cine1 Studios.
Upon its release, Animal garnered mixed reviews from critics. It faced criticism for its portrayal of misogyny, toxic masculinity, thematic elements, and graphic violence. The narrative centres on Ranvijay, the merciless son of a powerful industrialist, and explores his tumultuous relationship with his father.
Recently, during the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), an individual commented on how Animal illustrates that violence can lead to achieving one's goals in life. He further expressed that the release of such films should not be overly encouraged.

In response to this, Ranbir stated, “I fully concur with your viewpoint. As actors, we bear the responsibility of delivering films that contribute positively to society. However, as an actor, it is crucial for me to explore various genres and portray diverse characters. Nonetheless, your assertion is entirely valid. We must exercise greater responsibility regarding the types of films we produce.”
