There had been a lot of chatter going around after director Ram Gopal Varma revealed his new film, Syndicate. People were guessing that big names like Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, and Manoj Bajpayee might be part of the cast. But now, the director has come out to clear the air and shut down those rumors about the film's lineup.

RGV dismisses the rumors

A report from Telugu 360 mentioned that the upcoming film will have a star-studded cast from both Bollywood and the South film industry. It noted that the legendary Amitabh Bachchan is set to make an appearance in a significant cameo.

The report also indicated that Tollywood star Venkatesh Daggubati is in discussions for a leading role and is expected to finish filming his scenes in about 35 days. Alongside Amitabh and Venkatesh, Fahadh Faasil is rumored to be in talks for an important part in Syndicate. Additionally, Manoj Bajpayee and Anurag Kashyap have agreed to take on other key roles. Filming for Syndicate is expected to start around mid-February, according to the report.

On Saturday, Ram Gopal took to X, previously known as Twitter, to address the swirling rumors about the casting for his upcoming film, Syndicate. He labeled the reports as false and mentioned that he would reveal the details when they are finalized.

“There are all kinds of speculations going around the casting of SYNDICATE film which are all completely FALSE,” Ram Gopal shared on social media. He added, “Will share the details when ready.”

A bunch of social media users jumped into the comments to share their excitement, and some even dropped their wish lists. One person said, “Waiting boss,” while another chimed in with, “Please cast Manoj Bajpayee and Anurag Kashyap.”

One user added, “I can’t wait to see the real details when they’re officially announced.”

Here’s what we’ve gathered about Syndicate

Ram Gopal has shared that his upcoming film is set to dive into the rise of a menacing criminal organization that poses a serious threat to India. In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), he discussed how the idea for Syndicate evolved, pointing out that while street gangs used to be a major issue, the real threat now comes from a powerful syndicate made up of various groups, including political players, law enforcement, wealthy business tycoons, and even military figures.

According to the director, Syndicate will tackle how the current intense polarization in the country creates a perfect environment for such a dangerous entity to form. He clarified that this film isn’t about supernatural horror; instead, it’s a look into the terrifying potential of humanity.

Ram Gopal highlighted that the movie will reveal the ongoing cycle of crime and terror, showing how these organizations morph into even more lethal versions of themselves over time. He stated, “Crime and terror never die; they keep coming back in more deadlier forms.” He concluded his post with a strong commitment: “I took a VOW to WASH AWAY all my CINEMA SINS that I committed over the PAST FEW YEARS with this JUST one SINGLE film called SYNDICATE.”

He also assured viewers that Syndicate will be genuinely frightening, not due to any supernatural aspects, but because it will explore the dark realities of human nature and the potential horrors that could unfold.
