The grand pre-release event for Global Star Ram Charan's Game Changer took place at the Curtis Culwell Center on Saturday. This occasion marks a significant milestone as it is the first pre-release event for an Indian film to be held in the United States. The event attracted thousands of fans, resulting in a remarkable success.

The film's core team, which includes Ram Charan, director Shankar, producers Dil Raju and Sirish, music director Thaman, and actress Anjali, were present at the event. Notable filmmakers Sukumar and Buchi Babu Sana, who are set to collaborate with Ram Charan on future projects, attended as distinguished guests. The event was expertly organized by Rajesh Kallepalli.

During his address, Global Star Ram Charan expressed his gratitude to the Dallas fans for their immense support and warm welcome. "It feels as though we have never left India. Perhaps that is why Dallas is now affectionately referred to as Dallas Puram. I can hardly believe that I have acted in a film directed by Shankar Garu. I always aspired to request him to direct a Telugu film, but I never envisioned actually working with him. This has been a wonderful three-year journey filled with learning and growth."

He further remarked, "In my view, Shankar sir is to Indian cinema what Sachin is to cricket. He is the foremost commercial filmmaker. This is my first solo film in five years, and it holds special significance for me. To echo Dil Raju sir’s sentiment, 'Meeku enni Venumo, Anni Irrukinga.' It has been a pleasure working with Raju Garu." Charan also acknowledged Sukumar for attending the event and congratulated him on the success of Pushpa 2.

Director Sukumar noted that the atmosphere in the hall reminded him of the vibrant energy found in the Telugu states. He expressed his appreciation to the NRI audience for their steadfast support of Telugu cinema, even while residing abroad. He stated, "I am profoundly grateful to Dil Raju Garu for his belief in me throughout my career. At a time when many producers were reluctant to offer chances to emerging directors, he entrusted me with Arya. I received my first Filmfare Award from Shankar sir. As a fan of Chiranjeevi, I often wondered why he had not collaborated with Shankar sir, but I felt immense happiness when Charan announced their partnership. I also hold SJ Suryah sir in high regard; prior to my directorial debut, I considered Kushi one of my key reference films."

Regarding Ram Charan, Sukumar remarked, "Charan is akin to a brother to me, and collaborating with him is always a pleasure. After viewing the film with Chiranjeevi Garu, I can confidently assert: that the first half is outstanding, the interval is a blockbuster, and the flashback segment in the second half will undoubtedly evoke goosebumps. Following the likes of Shankar sir's Gentleman and Bharateeyudu, I found this film to be immensely enjoyable. I initially believed Charan would secure a National Award for Rangasthalam, but after witnessing the climax of this film, I am convinced he will achieve that honour this time."

Producer Dil Raju expressed his enthusiasm regarding the production of his 50th film, collaborating with prominent figures such as Ram Charan and Shankar. He remarked, "My association with Shankar Garu commenced in 1999 with Oke Okkadu. I first encountered him during the 100-day celebration of that film. Subsequently, he entrusted me with the release of his production Eeram as Vaishali in Telugu. I am grateful to him for having faith in me to produce his inaugural direct Telugu film, Game Changer. Through our banner's co-director, I learned that Shankar Garu was interested in creating a Telugu film under our production. At that time, Ram Charan was engaged in the shooting of RRR. I approached him with Shankar sir's concept, and he responded positively. Thus, our journey commenced. This marks the 50th film from our banner, and we have never undertaken a project of this magnitude before. The production faced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I watched the 'Dhop' song on my mobile, and it brought tears of joy to my eyes."

Regarding his relationship with Ram Charan, Raju stated, "When I think of Charan, I am reminded of Kalyan Garu. My journey with the Mega family began with the distribution of films such as Tholi Prema, Kushi, and Gabbar Singh. I previously collaborated with Charan on Yevadu, which was released during Sankranthi. Now, after 11 years, we reunite for Game Changer this Sankranthi. This film reflects contemporary events pertinent to our Telugu states, all crafted by Shankar sir four years ago. The Game Changer event in Dallas is poised to be a significant milestone for Telugu cinema. Ultimately, I can assure you of one thing—‘Koduthunnam.’"

Dil Raju captivated the audience with his signature viral phrase: "Song Venuma Song Irukku, Fight Venuma Fight Irukku, Sankranthiki Hit Venuma, Hit Irukku." He expressed his gratitude to Rajesh Kallepalli for orchestrating the event on such a grand scale, and contributing to its remarkable success.

Director Shankar conveyed his appreciation for the affection he has received from the Telugu audience throughout his 30-year career. He remarked, "I have always aspired to create a film that merges my artistic vision with a distinctive narrative. The outcome is Game Changer. Despite not having directed a Telugu film in the last thirty years, the support from Telugu audiences has been unwavering. I had previously contemplated collaborating with other actors, but I am delighted to make my Telugu debut with Ram Charan. He will showcase three different looks in the film, and his performance as Appanna is expected to be a standout feature."

Music director Thaman expressed his honour in collaborating with Shankar and Ram Charan. He stated, "Certain projects evoke a mix of excitement and apprehension, and that is precisely how I felt about Game Changer. I never envisioned working with this dream team of Ram Charan Garu and Shankar Garu. In addition to Game Changer, Balayya Babu’s Daaku Maharaj and Raju Garu's Sankranthiki Vasthunnam are set to release. I sincerely hope that all three films achieve significant success at the box office."

Event organizer Rajesh Kallepalli expressed his gratitude, stating, "There are many individuals waiting outside, and I sincerely apologize to them. This marks our inaugural hosting of such a large-scale event in America, made possible through the support of Dil Raju Garu. We are honoured to have Ram Charan Garu, Shankar Garu, and other esteemed figures present with us. Our goal is to ensure the film achieves significant success."

Director Buchi Babu Sana reflected on his admiration for Shankar's work, noting, "I have been a fan of Shankar's films since childhood. I remember watching Bharateeyudu at the Poorna Theatre in Pithapuram. Shankar sir is a true legend in the realm of commercial filmmaking, unmatched by anyone else. I have had the privilege of viewing four scenes from Game Changer, and they were outstanding. Ram Charan Garu has a deep understanding of my vision. It was Dil Raju Garu who helped my mentor become a director. I sincerely hope that Game Changer becomes a remarkable success."

Prominent producer Anil Sunkara highlighted the significance of the event, stating, "This is the first occasion a Telugu film event is being held in Dallas. Ram Charan Garu's presence here demonstrates his affection for the fans in this region. I anticipate that we will witness many more film events in Dallas moving forward, and this event will set a precedent. Sukumar Garu has made us proud with Pushpa 2, and I am hopeful that Ram Charan Garu will do the same once again. We all admire Shankar Garu, who serves as an inspiration to us all. I wish for Game Changer to be a transformative moment for everyone involved."

Versatile actor SJ Suryah, who played a significant role in the film, remarked, "I visited Hyderabad for the first time to present a story to Pawan Kalyan Garu. Ram Charan possesses a truly genuine spirit. I have saved his contact as 'RC - The King'. He embodies the essence of a king in his demeanour, dance, style, and acting. Game Changer is sure to provide entertainment for all."

Actress Anjali, who also had a crucial role in the film, conveyed her enthusiasm by stating that Dallas was an ideal location for the inaugural pre-release event of a Telugu film in the United States. She expressed, "The character I portrayed in Game Changer will be the highlight of my career. It will mark a 'before Game Changer and after Game Changer' phase for me. Audiences will witness a new facet of Ram Charan in this film, and his Appanna character will be thoroughly enjoyable. I consider SVC to be my home banner, having previously worked on Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu and Vakeel Saab, both of which were significant projects. Now, I am excited to present Game Changer."

SVC and Aditya Movies are set to release Game Changer in Tamil, while AA Films Anil Tadani will handle the Hindi release. Saregama is the music partner for this highly anticipated political action drama.

Game Changer features Ram Charan in a dual role, alongside Kiara Advani, Anjali, SJ Suryah, Srikanth, Sunil, Samuthirakani, and Jayaram. The story was crafted by Karthik Subbaraj, with SU Venkatesan and Vivek contributing as writers. Harshith serves as the co-producer of the film. The dialogues were penned by Sai Madhav Burra, while S Thaman composed the music, and S Thirunavukkarasu managed the cinematography. N. Narasimha Rao and SK Jabeer acted as line producers. Avinash Kolla was the action choreographer, and Anbirav composed the fight sequences. The choreography was handled by Prabhu Deva, Ganesh Acharya, Prem Rakshit, Bosco Martin, Jani, and Sandy. Produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations, Dil Raju Productions, and Zee Studios, the film is scheduled for a grand release in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi on January 10, 2025.
