Actor Rakul Preet Singh has been in the entertainment scene since 2009, experiencing a rollercoaster of highs and lows throughout her career. No matter the challenges, she always finds a way to recover. Her secret? Staying focused and keeping her eyes on the prize, prioritizing her work above all else.

Navigating the tough times in her career

Throughout her 16-year journey in the industry, Rakul Preet has proven to be a dynamic actress, leaving her mark in both Hindi and Southern films. Her varied filmography features titles like Loukyam, Mere Husband Ki Biwi, Thank God, Doctor G, Runway 34, Sardar Ka Grandson, and De De Pyaar De.

While some of these films were successful, others didn’t quite hit the mark. However, Rakul remains undeterred in her passion and commitment to acting. “I believe that life has its ups and downs; what goes up must come down, but it can bounce back,” she shares.

“It’s like a ball, right? You just have to ride the waves, trust yourself, and stay focused on your work,” she adds, reflecting on her experience at the Magnum Lounge during the recently concluded Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai.

Her enthusiasm for the craft

For Rakul Preet, her passion is closely linked to her love for her job. She feels a sense of comfort and vitality when she's in front of the camera. The actress, who is married to actor-producer Jackky V Bhagnani, openly shares that she experiences stress when she’s not engaged in work.

"My passion comes from truly enjoying what I do. When I'm working, I don’t feel stressed at all; it’s the opposite. I actually feel stressed when I’m not working. Just the routine of waking up, going to work, and being in front of the camera gives me a thrill in life,” she explains.

As for her upcoming projects, Rakul is set to star in the sequel of De De Pyaar De alongside Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan. There are also rumors that she might portray Shurpanakha in Nitesh Tiwari's adaptation of Ramayana.

When we ask her about her future plans, she expresses her desire to keep pursuing her passion for as long as she can. “What’s next for me? I really hope to keep doing this for as long as I want,” she concludes, promising a strong return with her next project.
