Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan shared insights about Rishi Kapoor, noting that the late actor experienced a sense of "dissatisfaction" due to frequently portraying similar characters, which contributed to his feeling of being confined. In an interview with the news agency ANI, Rakesh Roshan also reminisced about the actor's fervor and highlighted the remarkable contributions he made to cinema prior to his passing.

Reflecting on Rishi's contributions, Rakesh recounted how the late actor would become enthusiastic upon securing a promising script. "He accomplished remarkable work before his passing. All of his final films were outstanding. He embraced a variety of roles and was genuinely joyful. You wouldn't believe it... he would call me and say, 'Today I signed this picture,'" Rakesh shared.

Rakesh recalls when Rishi got bored with same scripts

"I am portraying a character who is both elderly and bald, specifically an 80-year-old man. Each day, I spend four to five hours on makeup. At times, I found myself feeling somewhat bored, expressing thoughts like, 'I'm doing the same thing, the same role repeatedly.' This led to a sense of dissatisfaction with my career," Rakesh remarked.

The late actor had a profound relationship with Rakesh Roshan. Their initial encounter took place on the set of Khel Khel Mein (1975), a musical thriller featuring Rishi's spouse, actress Neetu Kapoor. As time passed, their friendship deepened, leading to several collaborative projects, such as Jhoota Kahin Ka (1979) and Aap Ke Deewane (1980).

Rishi's final film was Sharmaji Namkeen (2022), which was released posthumously. Since he could not complete filming, Paresh Rawal stepped in to finish his portions. The actor died on April 30, 2020, at the age of 67, after battling leukaemia.
