Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has experienced both triumphs and challenges throughout his career and personal life. In the Netflix documentary The Roshans, he candidly discusses the financial difficulties he encountered. Following the success of Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Rakesh Roshan was the victim of a shooting in 2000, and in 2019, he received a diagnosis of throat cancer. Nevertheless, he has persevered as a survivor. In a recent interview, he shared that he found inspiration and strength in his daughter, Sunaina Roshan, to navigate these adversities.

In a discussion with News18, Rakesh Roshan expressed that he did not allow obstacles to impact him. The experienced director revealed that his daughter Sunaina taught him valuable lessons on how to navigate challenges.

She has endured numerous illnesses and surgeries since her early years. Nevertheless, she has consistently displayed remarkable courage and has often laughed in the face of adversity. Her enduring happiness has imparted valuable lessons to me, he remarked. The director of Karan Arjun emphasizes the importance of maintaining happiness and contentment regardless of circumstances.

He further noted that Sunaina's perspective on life has been instrumental in helping him navigate the challenges of the shooting incident and his battle with cancer. For those who may not be aware, the filmmaker's daughter has valiantly confronted cervical cancer, fatty liver disease, and brain tuberculosis. Today, she frequently shares her journey of transformation on social media.

In the same discussion, Rakesh Roshan conveyed his appreciation to his wife, Pinkie Roshan, for her unwavering support during challenging periods in his life. He reminisced, "She married me when my income was merely Rs 200 as an assistant director. She shouldered 80 per cent of the responsibilities and expressed her contentment with our life together."

Rakesh Roshan has achieved considerable success in his career, having produced notable projects such as Krrish, Karan Arjun, and Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, among others. Recently, he appeared alongside his son Hrithik Roshan and his brother Rajesh Roshan in a feature titled The Roshans.
